Dalkey/Killiney July 25th (40 km, 470 m, yellow pace)

I'm planning to do a spin around Dalkey/Killiney on Monday July 25th, leaving Dundrum at 6.15.

The route will be Dundrum - Goatstown - Mount Merrion - Booterstown Ave - Cross Ave - Mount Merrion Ave - Blackrock - Seapoint - Sandycove - Dalkey.

If anyone wants to join at the coast rather than in Dundrum, we can meet you around 6.30 at the entrance to Blackrock Park opposite Mount Merrion Ave. Let me know if you want to join here.

From Dalkey we'll do a few loops and climbs including Castle Park Road, Avondale Road, Vico Road, Glenalua Road and we can take in Knocknacree Road as well (average 10% gradient for 400 metres).

Be careful on the bike lane between Blackrock and Sandycove as people WILL walk out into the lane without looking.

Also be careful on the Vico Road descent - this is a nice descent but you have to watch out for cars coming around bends on the wrong side of the road and for people walking out of Killiney Hill Park into the road without looking.

It'll be about 40 km with 470 metres of climbing. The pace will be yellow but nobody will be left behind!
