Sunday Mountains Group was created by Peadar Corbally
With the days getting longer and the weather improving I am starting up the Sunday Mountains group again.

For anyone unfamiliar with this group its run for the last few years over the summer. It started as a spin aimed at people training for events like the Etape, Marmotte etc and expanded to be a mountains training spin for club members in general.

The pace is generally orange pace and upwards with the aim of keeping everyone together on the flatter sections and people going at their own pace up climbs and regrouping afterwards. The exact pace depends on who turns up. For a general idea of pace the aim is that everyone is back in Dublin between 12 and 1.

Routes will vary between about 83km and 110km distance wise and 1,300 to 2,200 meters in terms of climbing.

Spins start at the Yellow House in Rathfarnham at 8am on Sundays

There is a coffee stop in Laragh

The plan is to go a simple route for the first spin this year. Up Cruagh, featherbeds, Sally Gap, Glenmacnass and coffee in Laragh. Head back to Dublin the same way. An out and back route.
