usual time to meet up 615 Yellow House. Faster and Slower groups to head out.
This time of year is pretty special as head to late May to Mid July where we can head to Sally Gap on a Tuesday eve and get some of the best sunsets nature can provide! Bring you camera!
Route will be the following
Yellow House-Blue light-Fox's-Devils Elbow-Enniskerry-the WALL-Djouce-Lugalla-Sally Gap-Featherbeds home,
This is approx 75-80km and around 1400m of clubimng. This is pretty much as iconic as evening cycling can get! You will all love it
See you all Tuesday

No official tues eve hills this coming week as we take a mid summer break. I'd ask all free to head to the Stephen Roche gp in Ballinteer and support the event with family and friends. Lots of activities for kids both big and small, women's only race, senior men's crit and lots lots more.
A brilliant way to start of a full week of Orwell cycling events.

Usually meet up time and place tomorrow.
615 yellow house
Route is straight up to kippure which in this weather should be fab and then home again.
Work situation has changed for me and it looks like I can no longer take part on Tuesday's for the foreseeable future but these should continue to early September but I'll be away from August so I'll need someone to step forward and offer up a route each week here on forum. I'll be stepping away from tues hills duty from 2 weeks time.
Enjoy the view tomorrow

I'd love if someone was willing to take over the organising for the remainder of the season and if you're up for it please post up your routes here.....
This week we have 2 options for you!
Option 1 Old School Tuesday Hills
Meeting as usual at 615pm at Yellow House and then head to the proposed route of
Cruagh-Pine Forest-Fox's-Devils Elbow-Enniskerry-Liam Horner-Featherbeds home
Option 2 pre Alps Classic Cols Interval Session
So plan is to do a fairly intensive interval session tomorrow eve in the Phoenix Park
Meet at 630 at Popes Cross 630pm
Plan is to do 2 Kyber Sprints of 900m at 3-4% followed by 2 Kyber Loops of 6-7mins followed by 2 Kyber Sprints.
All welcome to come along to either of the above. I'll be at the Park.

Gar is on his honeymoon (again) so has left this little job to me to do while he is away. So, in true Gar fashion I have copied and pasted last year's post to get the ball rolling. Hopefully see you all on Tuesday.

Hi all
Tuesday night hills are back!
Every Tuesday night from now to August.
Meeting point : The yellow house, rathfarnam
Time 615pm sharp
Levels from yellow to red(usually 3 groups)
For the last 6 years the minute the clocks go forward it's always time for evening cycles and for us lot it means Tuesday night hills.
These spins are ideal training for everything from Wicklow 200 to racing and everything in between. Ideally suited from yellow to red level. Whites are welcome but you'll need to create a group and leaders on the night. All the groups are self lead and I'll nominate a few leaders on the nights. As always nobody ever gets left behind and we regroup at the tops of each major hill etc.
Early season usually means spins 40-50km approx 2 hrs with 800-1000m. As the nights light extends this stretches to 70-80km up to 3.5hrs and 1500m.
What you'll need to bring:
Food, ideally 2 bottles of water
Lights
Gear to suit the weather(can get cold on descents so winter gloves, hats, jackets etc advised. )
Full puncture repair ability and multi tool. Although the aim is to never leave anyone behind this sometimes can happen and you have to know how to change a tube etc by yourself.
Always bring a phone and some cash!
Above all bring an attitude that no hill is too steep to cycle over and the odd bit of rain is only there to keep you cool while you climb up the mountains!
We usually have 30-40 men and women of all levels turn up so there will always be someone faster and slower than you on the night.
This Tuesday March 28th 615pm SHARP (We will be leaving on time)
Meet yellow house
Route
Blue light hill to foxes. Then right to recce the pine forest tt route coming up on April 6th for the club league entrants. Up to viewing point and down stocking lane. For those looking for a few more kms or metres climbed you can head up to the top of the featherbeds and back down again.
Approx 35km with around 700m of climbing. Should be back by 745.
All welcome to come! No need to post here just turn up.

Hope you are enjoying this weather and the stretch in the evenings! Just a reminder about tomorrow night. It's great training so make sure you're there. Unfortunately, I hurt my back at Kilmessan yesterday and probably won't make it.
Tuesdays are self led so organise yourselves into the groups outlined above depending on numbers and remember to re-group at the top of climbs. Nobody gets left behind!
Hopefully, see you all next week before the return of King Gar the following week!
Cheers,
Darragh
