I'd be up for the Wednesday spin. Looks like the chance of rain is 30% from 1900 onwards.

sorry Luke
I'll be stuck in work and none of the usual suspects for Wednesday seem to be around tonight so won't make it.
See you tomorrow at race

Marie and I are going to do a 7 to 12 peaks (depending on legs) darkish Yellow spin from Laragh on Sunday August 2nd. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome.

Same idea as Gar's 12 peaks, except for the pace

Meet at 9am Laragh at the cafe...leaving at 905am. Get there early if you want to grab a coffee 1st.
Warm up on Shay Elliot-Then descend-then up Sliabh Mann-down Sliabh Mann-up Brown Mountain-turn around-up Sliabh Mann the W200 way then up Shay Elliot the W200 way back to Laragh. Then up Wicklow Gap and up Turlough Hill up to 715m above sea level.
Then down to Laragh for lunch, and decide on who is up for what afterwards

After Lunch it’s up 5 more climbs tbc which ones. more than likely Shay-Sliabh-Brown-Sliabh-Shay.
Long slow hills. If you put yourself into the red early on you’ll never last. Keep yourself at 70-80% of max for 1st 9 peaks.

Hi all

Tuesday groups 615pm Yelow House
It's all about preparing for the Hill Climb Championship which is open to both racers and leisure alike. If you're a non racer leisure person give it a go...It's a brilliant intro into the club league and you get a proper start time and get a time which you can compare against each other and the racing crew too...
Also it's great craic!

This Tuesday head straight up Blue Light-Fox's-down the Devils Elbow....turn around and practice on the hill! Repeat if you have energy left!

Sunday Mountains Spin...
time has come to beat the infamous 12 Peak record which was created last and equalled a few weeks ago...
Sunday 16th 14 Peak Challenge
Meet at 9am Laragh
Route Shay Elliot-Sliabh Mann-Brown Moutain-Sliabh Mann W200 way-Shay Elliot w200 way-Laragh-Wicklow Gap-Turlough Hill. Then lunch in Laragh and repeat! Make history and set a new world record! All welcome but be prepared for 4000m in 135km. This is a spin that would rival any Etape or Marmotte....if you can do this you'll be ready for the Pyrenees!

see you all sunday

I have registered for the race on Thursday and maybe I'm crazy, but I'll do the 14 Peaks on Sunday. Looking forward to a re-match in the Connolly Cup ;-)

With the raid and haut route crew well and truly in taper mode I propose at 9am yellow house start Sunday. Laragh via Sally gap and back via Sally gap. Nice easy 100km route after the last few weeks. All welcome orange pace.
