Non-League Race, Tuesday May 16 2023, Corkagh Park was created by Dick O'Brien
There's no inter-club league race next week because the Ras is on. For those of you who need a fix of racing, we're running a one-off, non-league race in Corkagh Park next week on Tuesday, May 16th (Thursday was already booked).
We'll run two races on the night. Limit/Semi-Limit off at 7pm. Scratch/Semi-Scratch off at 7:45. Sign on for the first race closes at 6:50pm, while sign on for the second race will close at 7:35pm.
The race is open to all league races from participating clubs.

A small but enthusiastic turnout on a sunny Tuesday evening saw an Orwell one-two in L/SL, and a closely-fought Lucan win in S/SS, narrowly beating the currently-Tiernan's Bryan Geary.
The first race sprang to life once Limit were reeled in by a steadily-working SL, when Gavin Dodd chose his moment to spring off the front and gap the bunch early. It was an early move that paid off once joined by Adam McConnell, and the pair would hold the rest of the chasers at bay to the end, when the younger man took the two-man sprint.
Scratch caught SS on the 20-minute mark, Geary and a Lucan rider then mirroring the previous race move by staying away together for a number of laps, Geary holding it solo for some minutes more when his companion started to fade. It all came back together soon after to the end despite efforts by Eoin Ahern to break the elastic, and Eugene Murtagh of Lucan took the bunch sprint just ahead of a clearly in-form Geary.
