Race Results 2019

Race season officially started today (March 2nd) and we are up and running with some results already!

Please use this thread to share any results you know of. It's not always possible for me to keep track of every race so it would be great if people chip in and share:)

Saturday 2nd March

Sunday 3rd March: K Cap 2.0 Kilruddery

Well done to Eoin Ahern who finished 3rd in the B race at the K Cap MTB Race in Kilruddery today!‬

In the women’s race Stephanie Roche finished in 3rd place.

Saturday 9th March:

SERC Time Trial Series R2

While a good number headed west to race in Clonard a few headed to Arklow for the second round of the SERC TT series.

Hard luck to Ken who suffered a mechanical and DNF but well done to everyone else.

Special mention to Ronan O’Connor who raced on his regular bike and came 8th and also Eoin Byrne who rode down, did the TT and rode home!!

Saturday 9th March: Ras Naomh Finian

A huge turnout for the Women’s Race at Ras Naomh Finian today - 52 started including 5 Scott Orwell! Well done to Yvonne Doran in finishing 6th in the bunch sprint and congrats to Grainne and Anne Marie on completing their first race!

In the A2 Race Neal Hudson finished in 7th Place.

In the A1 race Paul Forristal started the new season as he finished the last - in the results!! Paul finished in 4th place after a fantastic effort to catch the break in the second half of the race.

Special thanks to Team Manager Stephen O'Shea who was there for the women's race and the men's race today and still managed to get a spin in for himself before the racing started!

Saturday 16th March: Lucan GP

The Lucan GP brought out the hardcore racers this morning in that wind and rain!!

Results in so far seem to be a 4th place in the A1/A2 race for Paul Forristal, 1st unplaced Junior for Conor Murphy-Rogers and 6th in the A4 race for Patrick Walsh.

Saturday 16th March: An Caislean Nua Classic, Limerick

Congratulations to Yvonne Doran who finished 3rd in the women’s race in NewCastle West today! In the results 2 weeks in a row - well done.

In the Women’s Race Yvonne was on fire!! 3 weeks and 3 straight prizes..well done, great start to the season. 5th place today in the McCann Cup hosted by Omagh Wheelers

24th March: IVCA League R1

His first race in the IVCA league and it's a cracker of a win in the White Group for Shaun Kelly!!!

A 7km solo break followed by a sprint for the line against the only man who could catch him. I see upward movement in Shaun's future;)

Some provisional results from the youths races at the PJ Logan - Wins for Andrew and Oisin. 2nd for Katie, 3rd for Luca and Àine, 4th for Caoimhe & Ryan.

Ronan was either 6th or 7th & David 3 or 4 more back and comfortably in bunch.
