Hi all,

I got an e-mail from Michael Boyle (BringMyBike/RideWild) about a new website that is being launched, Let's Cycle Ireland. They're trying to create this content to help the Irish Tourism Sector get back on it's feet after Covid19 by providing Cycling Trip routes.

If anyone wants to contribute about some of the past Weekend Away routes, or Staycation routes that you have.

You can send your route/description to Michael at:

This is the e-mail on how you can contribute:

Just touching base on a project we’re working on. We’re collaborating with clubs and sports and businesspeople on a new project called Let’s Cycle Ireland. It’s come about to counteract the damage the covid-19 has had on Irish tourism.

This year it will be targeted at Irish cyclists who want to take a trip from August onwards when the country open up again. From 2021 onwards we’ll target international cyclists too and work on establishing Ireland as an international cycling destination. The idea is to spread the benefits of cycling tourism to towns, hotels, cafes etc. throughout the country, especially those outside the usual tourism hotspots like Dublin, Galway and Killarney.

We are putting together a free, go-to website which will detail great cycling routes in Ireland under three simple headers:

I wanted to see if Orwell would contribute a route, maybe you or someone in the club would take up the invitation. We are keen that all routes on the website are genuine and authentic, designed by cyclists for cyclists.
