Looks like about 200k of headwinds to finish.

Having kebabs in Limerick before heading out for the last leg. Looks like we'll be finishing in Dublin around 8:00-8:30, and our 24 hours will probably run out somewhere around Naas, but we'll see. Various bridge closures and navigational mishaps mean our total distance is probably going to be somewhere just under 600k.

Headwinds from here on in ... fair play, lads: that’s a pretty awesome performance.

All still here and all still going, we are relaxing for a bit on the heated outdoor seats at Barack Obama Plaza. 454km on the clock.

Night hasn't been too bad so far, dry so far and not too cold, so all is still good.

So 22 hours are up with just over 500k on the clock and we're working out our endgame. Having Applegreen coffees in Portlaoise with before setting out on our final 2 hours, in which we have to complete at least another 25km.

Between us we have a myriad of pains and injuries, so we're kind of limping our way back towards Dublin, but still all happy and all good.

Well, all done now, we've made our final control Kildare at 530km. We could possibly stretched it a little bit further by racing on to Newbridge within the time limit, but everyone is happy with their days work now.

It's been a fantastic day, and a real privilege riding with this team. All that's left to do now is drag ourselves home to Dublin.

Thanks everyone for all of the support along the way, it really does help when we're battling our way home in the small hours.

Well done guys - fantastic achievement.

Special thanks to Dave too for taking us all along with them..it was great hearing about your progress (and fine dining experiences) throughout the 24 hours. I’m sure writing updates on the forum was the last thing on your mind at each control. We really appreciate it!

I passed by Enfield (in the car) yesterday evening and had flashbacks to the pain and horribleness of the 100 miler TT. I can only imagine the level of determination, grit and stubbornness - not to mention the fitness and stamina - need to attempt 500km in under 24hrs, but to go on to complete it and set a record too! I'm in awe, chapeau to each one of ye!
