SPIRIT OF LEISURE AWARD 2017
So many members contribute to making Orwell Wheelers the great club we are proud to be a part of.
Each year through the Spirit of Leisure award, the Leisure committee gets the chance to recognise the special contribution of one such member to our Club Leisure cycling activities, someone who has gone above and beyond to help their club and club mates and who epitomises the club’s values.

Leisure persons of the Year 2017
In Orwell Wheelers we have some amazing people. They contribute their time, their energy and their skills year in and year out for the benefit of their club and their club mates. They are generous.
They go above and beyond for us and then they do it all over again the next year.
Each year through the Spirit of Leisure Award we have the opportunity to recognise contributions like these and to say thank you.
This year we are recognising 2 stalwarts of our club. Guys who are always there putting their hand up to help. They contribute in different though essential ways and we would not want the job of singling one out over another.
They can be depended on.
Sometimes they're out front of a group leading and mentoring; other times they're in the background planning routes and sourcing leaders ..... doing the lower profile but fundamental organisational stuff.
And I could go on .......
This year there are 2 recipients of the Spirit of Leisure Award:
On behalf of the club's Leisure cycling members ..... Chapeau to Colm Featherstone and to Warren Cray
