Calcutta Run charity cycle - Saturday, May 20th was created by Shane Phelan
Just giving a plug to this charity sportive in aid of two worthy causes - The Peter McVerry Trust, which is doing trojan work with the homeless in Dublin, and the HOPE Foundation, which is working with street and slum children in Kolkata.
Some of the organisers took part in the Orwell Randonnée at the weekend and are hoping members of Scott-Orwell Wheelers will come along for their Calcutta Run ride on May 20th.
Its a relatively flat 80km ride out to Co Meath beginning and ending at the Law Society in Blackhall Place. There will be a barbeque and music at the finish and promises to be a fun day out.
They're hoping to raise €200,000, so every rider counts.
