Tour de Kilkenny was created by Catherine Swift
Just wondering is anyone doing the Tour de Kilkenny next Saturday? I did the 110 last year and going back again this year - was nice scenery and some surprisingly tricky climbs for a relatively flat county. I registered for the 160 but it appears the first 80km of the two longer routes overlap, so I plan to make a call on the day about how I'm feeling (just back from a cycle touring holiday and was a little unwell before that).

I'm doing the Tour of Kilkenny 160km option. I will be doing it at orange pace. Any other Orwells doing this?

I'm going down for the 160 km too.... weather looks like it will be a bit better than the TOM. Will stick with Ann's Orange pace hopefully

Great that there'll be other Orwell people there! Is it ok if I try joining ye to start with anyway? The first section is fairly flat so I think I'd probably be able to keep up with orange pace until the hills start - after that possibly/probably not but I've no problem dropping off whenever.

No foul language permitted. You lose one leisure point for every time you say the F word.

I've never been down there before.... but should be ready for about 08:45. It's a rugby club so shouldn't be hard to find each other.

I did the event before. The start is in the car park so it will be easy to meet up. I will have my Orwell kit so we should be able to spot each other. See you all tomorrow.

I'd like to say a huge thanks to Willy Madden and Eamonn Eaton for being absolute gentlemen waiting back with me when I had the misfortune of getting not one but TWO punctures inside the first 60km today.
A tough 160km with plenty of hills and no groups to draft off of all day... . A character building experience.

Hi Anne
Great days cycling and don't worry your 2nd puncture gave us an excuse for a break at the top of Inistioge hill.
