I got this in my inbox today. The roads are not closed, so you can of course cycle in the area, but you might find it more enjoyable to take an alternate route rather than spend your time dodging runners, and dodging other traffic dodging runners.

The Lap of the Gap half and full marathon will take place on Saturday May 28th.

The event starts in Glendalough, heading through Laragh, continuing onto the Sally Gap Road. The half marathon will turn around at Glenmasnass Waterfall, returning to Laragh. The full marathon route will turn right at Sally Gap crossroads, heading towards Lough Tay. From there, it will head towards Lough Dan, heading back into Laragh. Both events will finish at the Brockagh Resource Centre. The event will start at 8.00am on Saturday morning.

For more info, see: www.lapofthegap.com/

As roads will not be closed for the event, we would appreciate if you could advise your members to be aware of runners should they be cycling around the Laragh and Sallygap area on the morning of Saturday, 28th May.
