Sportive registrations opening

Thought I'd start a thread about any sportive registrations that are coming up.

The registration for the Ronde van Vlaanderen opens tomorrow. The sportive takes place on Saturday April 4th 2015. I'm planning on doing it. The registrations will be capped at 15,000 but that will happen (probably after a few weeks). Anyway would be cool if there were a few more Orwellians at it!

The pro version takes place the next day. And on Easter Monday the Volta Limburg sportive will take place so that's two sportives in one weekend.

By doing both the Ronde and the Volta, you can get a taste for the cobblestone and the Ardennes classics in the one weekend. I've done both the last two years and they're a great combination.

Myself & George Kelly have signed up for the Ronde ,we're travelling with a group of 7 others (non Orwell).Departing Friday & Returning Monday.

good man Rob! great stuff, what distance and where will you stay? no way I can convince you to stay around Monday for the Volta?

We've opted for the 134km route,we're staying in Bruges ,dept Friday Ryanair 06:10am Return 20:50 Monday ...what's your plans ?

If anyone is planning on booking the Marmotte directly (that is not going through a tour company), then registration is opening tomorrow. It usually books up very quickly. If you are booking through one of the tour companies then entry is already included.

Pre-registration for the Maratona dles Dolomites - similar to the Marmotte but in Italy - closes on Wed 5th Nov. If you book with a tour company then the entry is included and there's no need to enter directly. However if anyone is entering directly, the way this one works is that you pre-register now, and there is a draw in 2nd half of Nov to determine if you get an entry.

This was highly recommended by a guy I was chatting to on one of the sportives who did the Marmotte 5 times and then did the Maratona this year. Won't be doing it myself unfortunately.

Registration for Liege and Roubaix now open today!

Hey Eugene, I've signed up for Roubaix as discussed at the Xmas party...

wooohoo thats three of us now! what distance? DM is the long one, I presume youre the same? I've found a sportive the following day starting just outside Lille so it will be a double!

Lads, the registration for the Tour of Flanders is almost full up: 14,000 have registered for it.
And guess what I've found an obscure sportive the next day after it which goes over sections of cobblestones from Paris-Roubaix and on the Monday there's another sportive going through the Amstel Gold Race area so in one long weekend you can experience Flanders, Roubaix and Amstel Gold Race and have great banter!

Registration for the Ronde van Vlaanderen is closed; 16,000 people with 86 of them from Ireland (we made the top ten of countries participating) and as far as I know 3 from Orwell.

Registration for the Ronde van Vlaanderen is open! The Ronde van Vlaanderen is an epic monument of cycling: "the historic centrepiece of the Belgian classics and one of the sport's five 'monuments', its most prestigious one-day races." It is steeped in history and you feel that as the your body jolts over the cobbles. It's something you have to experience every March and April like the pros.
