Update on Ukrainian Project phase 2

We are still getting requests for both male and female bikes. Maybe you got a new bike for Christmas and still have the old one in the shed.  We would be glad to collect it from you. Or maybe you could put the word out to your: friends, family, or resident’s association that we are looking for bikes in reasonable condition, i.e. bikes that have been stored in a shed or garage and do not have any rust on them.

Phase 2 of the Bikes for Ukrainian Refugees began in Feb with the good news that Southside Partnership DLR allocated us

from the Leopardstown Ukrainian Support Group.  And the offer of assistance for The Irish Red Cross.  So, we are in good standing funding-wise.

Joe Daly Cycles are still our bike repair partner – supplying helmets locks and parts at cost price.

Many thanks, Leonard

It's an emotional time, at the end of phase 2 of the Bikes for Ukranian Refugees - as the last few bikes get serviced and we move out, after a year and 4 months.
Thanks to all the Orwell members family and friends for the generous funding and bikes. And also to Damian, Dave and Joe Daly staff.
