I have a one month trial to TrainerRoad to anyone interested. I just need your email to send you the sign up link. To get the value out of TR, you need to have the ability to transmit power to your phone/tablet/PC.
TrainerRoad is really great fun and a painless way to train (<insert tongue in cheek emoticon here>

Power Meter which pairs on Trainer Road with a Garmin ANT+ - those tiny black USB things that fit onto a laptop - this gives you your power numbers on the laptop and on your garmin head piece
Or
Garmin ANT + USB thing and Garmin Speed/Cadence sensor which again pairs with Trainer Road on set up to give a virtual power number (not your actual power) - you will need a type of turbo trainer that is compatible with Trainer Road - a list is on its site. Tyre pressure is one of the variables that's needed to remain constant to give you comparable power numbers for each ride you do.

You may need different means of connectivity, depending on what devices/trainers you'll be using. :) Depending on the communication protocol that your devices use, you may be able to utilize built-in Bluetooth 4.0 in your Mac or iOS devices or will need to pick up an ANT+ USB stick or dongle if your devices connect that way.
You can pair nearly all BT and ANT+ devices to TrainerRoad, and visualize your metrics on a training interface. In addition, there are over 80 training plans to choose from, utilizing over 1,000 workouts to absolutely crush your season.
In order to learn more about the product itself, shoot on over to www.trainerroad.com and we'll take care of the rest. If you have any questions that can't be cleared up there, our Help Center (support.trainerroad.com/hc/en-us) goes quite a bit beyond that to dial in all the specifics. AND if that doesn't take care of it, simply hit up This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and they'll be happy to help ya out.
Cheers!
