12 Peaks Anyone?? Sunday 10th Aug

Hi all

For those of you who missed the madness a few weeks ago we've decided to repeat the attempt to climb 12 of Wicklow's most iconic climbs in 115km next Sunday

Where: Meet at Laragh Hippy Cafe Sunday 10th August
When 9am
Why: To climb 12 mountains in 115km, why not?

Route is Laragh-Shay Elliot-Sliabh Mann-down to bottom at Aughrim end-Back up Sliabh Mann-Shay Elliot-Wicklow Gap-Turlough Hill-Laragh for food and coffee
Then we'll do it all over again but the opposite way round-Wickow Gap 1st then onto Shay etc. Icecream at the end is a must.

Expect this to be 6-7 hours of pure climbing and descending. Everyone is welcome but be aware of the level of climbing this is, as it was our big pre Marmotte/Etape final training test. However if you can do an Orange/faster yellow ish pace then this could be a challenge for you.

I'd love to do this but I'll still be away in France. If you've any desire to do it all again on the following Sunday, count me in.

On the q t but if do the 12 it'll mean a 14 attempt the following week!! Where will this madness end?? Same time the following Sunday for 14 which will be close to 4000m

weather looking okay so we're full steam ahead for the 12 peaks challenge on Sunday. Meet at 9am Laragh coffee shop. We'll be regrouping at the tops of all the hills so even if you think you're slow don't worry about it as we'll regroup so all paces suited for.
