A few of us are planning to do an Orange-paced spin on Sunday next, 20th July, leaving Joe's at 08:30. Looking at about 100km, medium hills, with a coffee stop. Back in Dublin by 13:30, all going well.
Please reply if you are interested in coming along.
Cheers!

We will have 4-5 people, and will decide the route in the morning.

We intend to hold a regular Sunday spin of similar distance until the autumn/winter spins start up, although it will depend on people's availability, spotive participation, etc. If interested in coming along, watch out for posts here or start a topic yourself!
Cheers,
Diarmuid.

Just to make it clear, I won't be able to go out Sunday morning this time. There may be others interested though. If there are, please reply.

Given Met Éireann finds it very hard to write a forecast without a minimum of 'occasional showers'. Tomorrows almost looks like a drought:
"Tomorrow, Sunday will be mainly dry. It will be cloudy for the morning but it will brighten up for the afternoon with some sunny spells developing. Moderate to fresh northwest will ease in the evening. Highest temperatures 17 to 19 degrees."

Next Sunday we have the Martin Early Tour of Kildare (see www.mariekeating.ie/tour-of-kildare-2014.asp and orwellsportives2014.freeforums.net/threa...ey-tour-kildare-2014) and also Garret's 12 peaks (see www.orwellwheelers.org/forum/9-training/...yone-sunday-10th-aug).
So no Orange spin, unless people post here to say they will be there.

Probably similar to the route last week with John except going on to Laragh & climbing Sally Gap by Military road instead of Lugalla. app.strava.com/activities/174683950
Blue Light - Glencullen - Devil's elbow - Wall - Laragh - Sally Gap - Featherbeds
I think it's about 90km & 1,500m+ climbing. Tea & cake stop in Laragh.
Some good views en route last week:

Next weekend (24th) is the Sean Kelly Tour which many will be attending, so if anyone is not heading down and fancies a spin on the Sunday, best to post early to see if there is interest. Normal service will resume in Sept until the organised winter spins start up in October.
Cheers,
Diarmuid.
