Joe Daly Memorial Cycle - Simpsons Hospital July 2021
The challenge is over and the Tansey family have all completed their challenges ranging from a spin to Enniskerry and back from Simpson's hospital in keeping with the long standing annual tradition, to Wicklow and Dublin coastal spins all in aid of the hospital.
A huge number of Orwell members took up the challenge to cycle and/or donate to our fund raising for an outdoor eating area for the residents and as a result we smashed our original target of €1,500 by raising €2,800. This was supported by a generous donation from the Club for which we are very grateful.
The winners of the Joe Daly vouchers are Marie Priestley (€200) and Rachel Glendon (€30). We have been in contact with them both direct to make arrangements for them to enjoy some shopping. Congratulation ladies. Our thanks again to Joe Daly Cycles for their support and generous voucher donations.
We owe a huge amount of gratitude to the continuing and ever generous support from Orwell Wheelers and feel proud to be associated with the Club and the fantastic at Joe Daly Cycles so that we can continue to raise funds for Simpson's hospital.
