Disappearing riders on Zwift: the tech solution was created by BarryR
Most Zwift users have seen it at some time - suddenly all the riders around you disappear. It can last for just a few seconds or it can last much longer. If you're riding with a group it can be very frustrating. What causes the disappearance, and how can you prevent it?
One Zwifter dug deep into the technology to figure it out and has written a post on Zwift Insider describing the cause and the simple fix. It's technical but simple. If you're the tech support person for a Zwifter then this is for you.
Briefly, there are two possible causes within your own network. The first is the obvious one - make sure you have a solid wifi (or wired) network connection. The second is less obvious - check the firewall on your PC.
