After 16 stages, and two rest days, My early promise was disrupted by a severe case of Bike Brain and Rás Stare. To recover, I attempted to back the break three days in a row. Whilst the break made it, my boys were chilling in the peloton.
Stephen and Shaun are battling it out to determine the podium order.
Niall has it in the bag.
Only unexpected results and/or correct guessing on the KOM points can cause the big changes.

The Giro is finito.
Shaun Kelly roglified the Giro in the final few days. An inspired pick of Pinot who scored 86 points on one stage alone.
Congrats to Niall, who despite the losing his winning streak, retains a podium spot.
SOS cruised into third place.
Everyone is going to live on a volcano and return for Le Tour on July 1st.

It starts in Bilbao this Saturday, the 1st of July.
The deadline for transfers is 11:15 Irish Time.

On the first Rest Day the table is being lead by Niall Kieran.
The main battle is for the Podium between Stephen, Luke, Darragh and Shaun (who missed two stages at the start). Jules is an outsider for the podium.

With two weeks down, and one to go, Niall leads on Rest Day 2.
The podium battle remains between Luke, Shaun and Darragh.

The Tour de France is finished.
Congrats to Niall Kieran for winning yet another Grand Tour.
There were 34 points separating Luke and Shaun going into the final day, Shaun had 7 transfers, Luke 4. In the end Shaun didn't pick Jordi Meeus (loyalty to Sam Bennett???) and it cost him. There's no room for sentiment in this game.
Darragh Connolly was also in contention for a podium, and was in second place after stage 18.
A special shoutout to friend of the club, Garrett Connolly who finished top of the Irish League with 3033 points (breaking Eoin Byrne's previous record of 3025).
The Vuelta starts on Saturday August 26th.

On the first Rest Day of La Vuelta, it is apparent that the every other player in the country has encountered the Arizona Ranger with the Big Iron on his Hip.
I have a 70 point lead in the Orwell League, and a 25 point lead in the Irish League.
Unfortunately, a slight miscalculation on Saturday, seen me drop 100 points, as the break didn't make it.

Vuelta Finito
Mega performance by Shaun Kelly, to take the win. The Giro-Vuelta double. He had so many transfers remaining.
Luke and Niall went to the wire, with Niall holding on by 6 points.

Yo yo yo, we're back for 2024 and some two-pronged attack Epic Gaming.
Some bad news, Road CC's Fantasy competition is now behind their Premium Service. This is €2 per month. Road's game is the best game as it allows transfers every stage. I examined many other options, and there's nothing better. So I'm still gonna play on this game.
The good news, I have noticed that a number of players have joined previous leagues, picked a team and not made transfers, so I've created a League on VeloGames for people who want to play for free and not make transfers.
The Giro Competitions are open on both Road CC and VeloGames.
We'll have the Tour de France and Vuelta a España later in the year, with the same league code (on Road CC, I'm not sure about VeloGames).

Only gambles on breakaway riders scoring KOM points will be the difference between the players for the next two stages, as the big GC lads are mostly common to all teams.
