Hi Everybody,
We are pleased to announce details of the annual club weekend away.
Date- Saturday 15th November
Location- Carlow
Hotel - Seven Oaks (059) 9131308

Deadline for booking at group rate- 24th October
In order to book your room you must ring the hotel directly and let them know that you are part of the Orwell Wheelers group. If you are sharing a room, only one person should book on behalf of the pairing.

I was talking to the receptionist in the Seven Oaks today.So far 63 people have booked in for the weekend away.She has added ten more rooms due to the unprecedented demand. This means that there are still 20 rooms up for grabs at the discounted rate so get booking!!

I just got confirmation today that 72 people have booked in so far for our club weekend away in Carlow.There are 15 rooms still available at the discounted rate.It looks like it's going to be a great weekend and a great opportunity for newer members to mix and mingle!

The Seven Oaks is FULLY booked for Saturday November 15th.There is a B and B next door called 'The Red Setter'.I rang them and they have room for 8/9 people.
B and B prices are:
40 euro per person sharing
45 euro for a single
If you let me know I can ask the Seven Oaks to include you in the number booked for dinner.

I can add you for dinner no problem Stephen.You will be sold a ticket for dinner at reception.
I'm afraid Colm's room is gone.I rang the Seven Oaks.If anyone else is cancelling, will you let me know on the forum/email before you cancel so that the room can be given to an Orwellian?Otherwise it'll be given to the general public!
Also if you are interested in joining us for dinner but are staying elsewhere let me know and I'll add you to the list.

Unfortunately the 4 letter word that is "work" is now getting in the way of me going on the club weekend away so I will have a room for 2 people going.
I haven't cancelled it yet - Anne do you have anyone on the waiting list? I can just leave it in my name if thats the easiest way of passing it on to another club member?

There is no Orwell waiting list.The best thing to do would be for you to contact the hotel directly and explain that you need to change the name on the booking.It's your credit card that the room is booked under so you might also want to ask Jules to contact the hotel after, giving his own credit card details.

Jules - that room is all yours if you still want it? I can call the hotel tomorrow and chance the name, they didn't take a credit card to confirm the booking. Do you want it kept as a room for 2 or change to a single?

Hi Jules, that is done. They have your name and it is changed to a single. They do need you to give them a call with a credit card to hold it.

The Red Setter is now booked up too so I've booked a room in Avion House, another B&B just down the road. It would be great if you could still add me to the numbers for dinner in the Seven Oaks?

For those not staying in the hotel the rate for dinner will be 22.50.
So far I've got Stephen Downey and Una Scallon on my list for dinner only .
