Pinergy-Orwell Wheelers’ young guns snapped up plenty of prizes on during a busy St Patricks weekend of racing. The Lucan Grand Prix on Saturday saw huge fields brave the wet and cold conditions. Lucan's schedule of races this year included an Under-16 race, a very welcome addition to the programme. The Under-16 race led to Orwell's first result of the day, with Ysabella Huele taking fourth place.

In the A3 race, Orwell's Juniors rode aggressively all afternoon and were rewarded for their efforts with Patrick O'Sullivan and David Harrington continuing their fine run of form by taking third and fourth respectively.

A strong Orwell contingent also featured in the A4 race, where Paul O'Brien had the honour of being the only non-teenager to get a result during the weekend, taking seventh place.

On Sunday, O'Sullivan was once more in the prizes, having made the trip to Carrick-on-Suir to contest the Tommy Sheehan Memorial, where he finished fourth.
