Due to a significant number of people missing the deadline for joining the Orwell League, the league committee have decided to accept new applications until May 9th.

Applications should be made in the usual fashion (via this page), with fees for the club league of €30 required. If you need to upgrade your licence with Cycling Ireland to at least a "Limited Competition" licence, this should be done separately, and additional fees will apply. If you are not already a member, you may join the club via that page also.

Once applications have been accepted and processed, the new riders must start Round 7, which is a Corkagh Park criterium on 15th May. Similar to the beginning of the league, this will allow riders to have their first taste of club racing in a safe, traffic-free environment.

All new joiners must race Round 7. This will allow us to ensure you are ready for the league. Unsafe riders and no-shows will not be allowed to race later in the league. If you are unable to make this date, and are not known to the committee, please do not apply to join the league.

This amnesty only applies until May 9th. If your application has not been received by the membership secretary by that date, it will be rejected. There will be not be another opportunity to join the league.

New league members will be subject to the same marshalling requirements as current members.
