Social rep Ann Horan is threatening to become the club's MTB rep, with this invite to head mountain biking in Rostrevor near Newry...

Orwell Wheelers cycling club are planning a trip to Rostrevor on Saturday January 9th.

This will involve mountain biking on the Saturday morning and dinner in the Whistledown hotel on Saturday night. Rostrevor is less than 90 minutes from Dublin so it is possible to make a day trip out of it if that's preferable.

On the shores of Carlingford Lough, the Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails offer some challenging mountain biking where efforts are rewarded with incredible coastal views and exhilarating descents.

The red trail (easiest trail) is 27km long and involves some climbing so a good level of fitness is required to participate.
