Cycling fitness, Health and Bike Check

In aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation

Joe Daly Cycles and Tansey Chiropractic have come together to offer their services FREE in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation for the benefit of the members of Orwell Wheelers.

Leave your bike for a check over with David in Joe Daly's and come up to Tansey Chiropractic Clinic where we will check flexibility, foot position, discuss any injury issues and get a chance to meet Aidan Hammond of BikefittingIreland for advice.

Checks include:

  • Mechanical once over of your bike from Joe Daly Cycles;
  • Laser foot scan;
  • Flexibility assessment;
  • Upper body strength test;
  • Lung peak flow test;
  • Reflex and alignment test.

Paul Tansey

Qualified as Physical Therapist from the International Teaching and examination council of Great Britain in 1991 and as a chiropractor from the Mc Timoney College in Oxford, England, in 1999.Paul in full flight

Paul has worked at the very highest level in sport, particularly in cycling. Using his experience from his time as an international rider, Paul working with Irish cycling heros Stephen Roche, Sean Kelly and Martin Earley. He worked with several professional cycling teams-Fagor, Histor Sigma, Carrera, Raleigh and the Irish Olympic Team./

Aidan Hammond

Aidan Hammond is a fully qualified Neuromuscular therapist (Sports injury therapist) working with cyclists and triathletes.

He is a former racing cyclist and Time Trial Champion a fully qualified level 3 Cycling coach and Coach Tutor with Coaching Ireland.
