Club Race Opener
Following the cancellation of last Sunday’s Inter Club League pre-season race, there has been considerable demand for an opportunity to test the legs in race conditions ahead of Sunday's start to the open race season.
At such short notice an inter club league race would be difficult to co ordinate so Orwell Wheelers will run a 30km handicap race for club members only, starting in Batterstown at 10.30am tomorrow morning (Saturday 27th February). The prize for the winner comes courtesy of Joe Daly's.
Riders will complete most of a lap of the Dorey’s Forge but rather than coming back onto the Trim Road, the finish line will be just before Culmullin Church on the ‘Mullagh’ road. See the route here. Sign on is at the garage in Batterstown from 9.30am.
