Audax training spins

DATE CHANGE: The training has moved to Sunday 12th due to poor weather forecast for Sat 11th. Same start location.

Saturday 11th Jan 2020 is the date set for the first of the Audax training spins. We hope to have groups participating at two levels, i.e. yellow and Orange.
We leave at 08:00 am
The starting point is St Enda’s car park at the corner of Grange Rd and Taylor ‘s Lane

The aim of these audax training spins is to get people ready to cycle in the "DUBLIN/MEATH/KILDARE ORWELL 200KM AUDAX" on Sunday 8th March.
We would like to see 100 Orwell members cycle the event. Anyone who cycled the Wicklow 150 or 200 last year should be well able to cycle the event.

This Audax is a beginner-friendly route aimed at first-timers. Navigation is (mostly) as straightforward as could be, and the route could almost be called “Flattest possible 200” if it weren’t for a number of short sharp lumps on the approach to the finish.

The route starts and finishes at Joe Daly’s; it is a total of 208.03 km and has a total ascent of 957.86m and has a maximum elevation of 202.38 m.
