NEW - Summer Saturday Club Spins

At the launch of the Leisure Summer Programme a number of new initiatives were announced, one being the introduction of summer spins.

The first spin is due to take place on Saturday 1st April. This message is a call for volunteers to act as leaders and dispatchers for the spin programme; which will run from April until the end of August.

The groups requiring leaders will be whites and yellow. As usual the Orange and Red spins will be self-led. There will be no beginner white spins.

So please indicate here on the forum if you are ready to help and lead your fellow members, and even better if you let us know that you are available to do a few, if that eventuality arises.

There will be a facility on the forum to swap dates after the schedule is published. This new summer spins programme cannot go ahead without sufficient leaders. Your leisure subcommittee would really appreciate your support with this new initiative.

I'm happy to help with these too. I'm down to do the WW200 training group so I probably won't be free on Saturdays until after the WW200. If Sunday's are an option up to then, I'll consider any!

I can do dispatch my availability 8th April, 29th April, 20th May, 10th June, 1st July, 12th August and 2nd september. I start work at 11:00am these days and can do the dispatch before that.

I should be good after Mt. Leinster! happy to help where I can.

We are still sorting out the rota Fergal. Thanks to all who have volunteered so far.

Many people have offered to lead after the new 100/150 and 200km training groups are finished late May and June.

However, we still need people for April. So at the moment we will probably organise it on a weekly basis. Also, as these Saturday Summer Spins are new for the Club; we are not sure how many leaders we will need.

I am happy to participate/lead too. I am not sure yet of my complete availability but the following dates are certain at the moment: April 1st, April 15th, May 13th, June 10th. June 24th.
