Sign-on closes at 18.50. Sign-on is the usual spot - the lay-by opposite the Blue Gardenia pub on the N81: goo.gl/maps/oNvis Please don't park in the pub car park, and their toilets are for patrons' use only.

Remember, if you don't place, don't stop in the finish area - straight back to Brittas with you please! Give any bags to a friend or a clubmate, and then meet them back at Brittas afterwards.

Marshals
Bring a car if you can, or a bike at least. Don't arrive up with no means of getting to your marshalling point. Be at sign-on for 6.30pm for the pre-race briefing.

Have a look at www.orwellwheelers.org/racing/league#marshalling for info on what's expected of you. Remember, be polite and courteous at all times - you have no legal power to stop traffic, only to ask people to please stop.

If you don't show, you'll be automatically suspended from the league. It's up to you to get a replacement!

Just a reminder to everyone to make sure to physically sign on every week.

I've seen a couple of cases where people have forgotten, and up to now we've been lenient. Committee's told me I've to be brutal from now on, so if you place at the end, but there's no signature at the start, no points!

He'll get 5 points when you marshal for him.

There's a separate sign-on sheet for marshals (except in Corkagh Park), and if an assigned marshal doesn't have a signature next to his/her name (and get points), they're listed as a no-show and subject to punitive measures .

Bunch sprints for both, and two classy wins. AIdan Collins and Brian McNally were both recorded in the top six in Race #2, but had dropped a lap.

Great race tonight, thanks to the marshals - junctions were well-manned, and ambo was on the scene very quick when Greg came down. Cheers to everyone.

I've spoken to the committee about this one, to make sure I was doing the right thing, and it turns out I wasn't. Sub will get points, and it all balances out when the favour is returned anyway.
