Orwell new boy Eric Downey continued his stunning debut season by taking the win in his first open race at the Dunsany GP on Sunday.

Our own Jacqui Howard did us proud by being placed second lady to complete the Max Hürzeler 167.

Orwell Wheelers’ current strength in depth was showcased in impressive style in Roundwood yesterday (Sunday) as the club provided volunteers aplenty for the annual Hammond Memorial races and still had riders spare to mop up a representative share of the generous prize list.

Orwell Wheelers is hosting a youth mini-league sponsored by Cycling Leinster at the new Corkagh Park cycle track over the first three Sundays in May.

Orla Hendron's Talent Team 2020 squad presented their new Neenan Travel branded team kit at Ras na nOg last weekend where Orwell stars Naoise Sheridan and Rachael Kaye Mellor made their mark.
