  • Entries Open for Inter Club League 2024

    Entry is now open for this year’s Inter-Club League. An ideal pathway into racing, the league will run over 18 weeks between April and August.

  • Junior Tour of Ireland 2024

    A fantastic week of racing in Co Clare with a podium for Patrick, strong stage finishes for David and guest Charlie, heartbreak for Killian after strong breakaways didn't get the reward they deserved and well-earned smiles for Ilie and Daniel as they survive seriously difficult stages in a field of 120 juniors from all around the world.

  • Keenan keen an' ready to win!

    It's a delight to commence the 2014 race reports with a superb win for Aideen Keenan in Monasterevin yesterday, and a fine fourth for Bernard English in the A4 event.

  • Kinch clinches 2nd in Navan

    The weather could not have been more different, but Orwell riders brought home the bacon both days last weekend. In Summerhill, Tom Blennerhassett, David Halpin and Brian McNally lit it up on Dorey's Forge, while in Navan Ciara Kinch tore it up for second place, while Juniors Rachael Kaye-Mellor and Naoise Sheridan also took home prizes.

    On a damp and dismal day in Dundalk, Monica Marconi netted herself a great third place in the women's race at the Trader's Cup.

  • National Series Round 1: O'Brien and Doran performing again

    Round one of the 2023 National Series took place on Sunday 26 March in Blarney. While there was no rain, there was enough wind to add to what was already a challenging course.

    Run over a tough 140km circuit, Orwell had 3 riders in the A1/A2/Junior race, while Yvonne Doran flew our colours in the 90km Women's race. Read the full article to see how the race panned out: without giving too many spoilers, there were some great results!

  • Newbridge saves nearly nothing weekend

    With no Orwell results in Clonard on Saturday, all eyes were on Newbridge to salvage the weekend, and the club did not disappoint! Diarmuid Collins, Mark Mulcahy and Ciara Kinch all took home prizes, read about them below.

  • Orwell Club Cyclocross Kampioenschap

    The inaugural Club Cyclocross Championships were proposed by Stephen O'Shea at the Club AGM in October. What followed was a dedicated presence at the cyclocross races of the Orwell CX Crew. All the racing culminated in the Club Championships which took place on January 2nd in Corkagh Park with a field of 15 Orwell Wheelers.

  • Racing Round Up - Easter 2018

    Easter 2018 was a busy weekend for the men of Scott-Orwell Wheelers. There were no women or youths/juniors racing so the men took centre stage with two big events – Ras Mumhan for the A1/A2 racers, and The Gorey Three Day for the A3s.

  • The Orwell Stage Race Round Up

    The Noel O'Neill Trophy was run as a one day event in The Phoenix Park in 2017. For 2018 the event developed into a 2 day, 3 stage event which attracted some of the best racers in the country. Exciting racing in a new format, ended in a great victory for Scott Orwell Wheelers when Noel O'Neill presented the trophy to our own Paul Forristal. This is how it all unfolded..

  • Virtual Stephen Roche GP 2020

     

    Quanta-Scott Orwell Wheelers are proud to present this year's Stephen Roche GP, in virtual format on 24th June 2020! The women's race will kick off at 19:00 on Zwift, with the men's race to follow at 20:00 on the RGT platform.

  • Youth Tour of Scotland 2018 - The Team Perspective!

    2018 saw Scott-Orwell Wheelers enter two teams in the Youth Tour of Scotland, a tough 3 day - 4 stage race. Reports came back about their great team work over the weekend and in that spirit they have pooled together to write a race report for us. Chapeau guys!
