  • Poet Perry pops his winning cherry

    Orwell's poet laureate Paul Perry took an excellent win in Navan on Sunday, with Shane Toman, Daragh Boyd and Kilian Doyle also featuring. On Saturday, Dick O'Brien earned a fine 10th overall and 2nd unplaced A2 at the Naas CC promoted TT, while up north the Orwell representatives endured a run of bad luck in Rás Dhún na nGall.   • Rás Rider Profiles 2018

    The Rás Tailteann 2018 starts this Sunday with a top class field of domestic and International cyclists. Scott Orwell Wheelers is continuing a proud tradition of entering a team in this grueling race. In the lead up to the event we are doing a series of profiles on the riders and support team.   • Speedy Seán and Stevens sprint to success

    One dramatic chase resulted in Seán Murnane taking a large bunch sprint, while another duller affair saw Semi-scratch settle affairs with Freddie Stevens fastest in a small gallop. Corkagh Park racing is different every race, full reports below!

    With racing in Roundwood and Newbridge at the weekend, Orwell were as active as ever, with podium finishes for Jules De Meester and Stephen Rowan, placings for Ken O'Neill, Richard Cattle and Scott Gilchrist, as well as prizes for Bryan Geary and Sandra Telford.   • Three testers triumph in top ten

    The first of several reports from a busy and successful few days of racing comes out of the west, where Dick O'Brien led home an Orwell crew who took three top ten spots in the TT stage, and subsequently the overall. Tom Blennerhassett repeated his strong showing from 2014, and Brian McArdle marked a welcome return to stage racing. Read on for more!

  • Tom retakes TT title; Eoin emerges triumphant

    Previous holder of the 25TT title, Tom Blennerhassett retook it in imperious style in R15 of the club league, while Ann Horan blazed to the women's title by nearly a minute over her nearest rival. R16 saw the lowest turnout yet for a round, with Eoin Byrne emerging triumphant in horrendous conditions.

  • Top ten trio in Laragh Classic

    Following on from Cong and Charleville, the A3s were ripping it up at the Laragh Classic, securing a bronze Leinster Champs medal for Jamie Busher, and another two places in the top ten for Bernard English and Brian McNally. Busher tells us how it went below!

  • Well wrapped women suffer snowy start

    There's a touch of déjà vu about the results this weekend, with both Conor Murnane and Chris Mollaghan taking the only Orwell placings. That did wonders for their ranking points, with Murnane topping the Juniors for a day, and Mollaghan making his way into A3. The snow in Navan was the only thing on people's minds though, with five Orwell women making their débuts in the cold! Read on to see how they fared!
